Servco Toyota Honolulu (STH) became the third Toyota dealer in Hawaii to achieve the TSM-Kodawari Certification on January 14, 2019, joining Servco Toyota Windward (STWW) and Servco Auto Waipahu (SAWP). STH began their TSM-Kodawari efforts on December 4, 2017, and while strong efforts were displayed by many of the dealer personnel, much of the leadership was borne by TSM Kodawari Promoters Tony Trinh and Chuck Ekimoto along with General Manager, Dennis Tengan and Parts & Service Director, Bobby Evans.
TSM-Kodawari is a program of guidelines that ensures a Toyota Dealer will consistently deliver a standard of accurate, high quality service, to meet customer’s expectations. The term “Kodawari” means “something that a person persists in doing”, and a dealer is certified after it has been confirmed that they have successfully implemented 100% of the Kodawari standards. TSM-Kodawari Certified Dealers have enjoyed improvements in their customer satisfaction index (CSI), employee opinion survey (EOS) scores, as well as financial results.
A celebration luncheon was emceed by General Manager Dennis Tengan and attended by Servco’s Senior Managers as well as Mr. Satoshi “Scott” Watanabe of Toyota Motor Corporation. Servco Toyota Honolulu was also presented with a Certification Award from Toyota Motor Corporation and a Paddle from Servco Auto Distribution. Special recognition was given to Journey Technician, Natalie Ota, who led the 5S* activities in the STH service shop, and Lot Attendant, Terry Oye, who assisted with 5S* activities and even hand painted the lines designating space usage inside the shop.
Congratulations Servco Toyota Honolulu!
