HONOLULU – Toyota Hawaiʻi, a subsidiary of Servco Pacific Inc., announced the two scholarship recipients of its Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) at Leeward Community College and Honolulu Community College.
This year’s T-TEP scholarship recipients are:
- Mario Taylan Jr., Leeward Community College
- Connor Ibi, Honolulu Community College
Both winners will receive scholarship money to pay for tuition and books and will be employed part-time at Servco as a Technician Apprentice. Upon completion of their Associate’s Degree in Auto Technology and successful placement in an Auto Technician position at Servco, recipients will also receive money for tools.
To qualify for the scholarship, students needed to have completed at least one semester in Auto Technology Associates Degree program and have at least one more semester to complete, along with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Qualified students completed a Toyota Technician Assessment Examination.
