Hundreds of our employees are active in their communities in which they work and live in. They participate in a wide array of activities, such as blood drives, Special Olympics, school supply drives, beach clean-ups, and a variety of holiday charities. Employees also give their time by serving on the boards of non-profit organizations, schools, parent/teacher associations and cultural groups. In every community, you will find Servco employees giving their time as coaches, fund raisers and volunteers.

Servco executives were freezin’ for a reason at the 2017 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Hawaii. Mark Fukunaga, Rick Ching, Mike Nolan, Jeff Bell, and Craig Washofsky made a promise to their family, friends, and employees, to take the plunge down a 36-foot high, 95-foot long slide into 34-degree ice cold water, if they could reach their donation goal…and they delivered. The Team Servco quintet raised over $15,000, with the Servco Foundation, a silver sponsor of the event, contributing an additional $5,000 for a grand total of $20,000 for the Special Olympics Hawaii and its athletes. Subaru Hawaii Shares the Love with Six Local Nonprofits

Subaru Hawaii dealers donated $30,000 to six local nonprofits as part of its Share the Love sales campaign. Now in its sixth year, the campaign ran from November 1 st through December 31 st . During the annual sales event, Subaru Hawaii gives $250 for every new car sold up to $30,000, and the total is divided evenly between six nonprofits in Subaru's focus areas of learning, animals, and the environment. This year’s beneficiaries included Friends of the Library of Hawaii, Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, Hawaii Island Humane Society, Hawaiian Humane Society, Maui Humane Society and Kauai Humane Society.

Toyota Hawaii Goes Green at the 2017 Sony Open

For the 12 th year in a row, Toyota Hawaii was on the roads and the green of the Waialae Country Club as the exclusive Automobile Sponsor of the Sony Open in Hawaii. Toyota Hawaii provided 60 vehicles to shuttle pro golfers around the island, and displayed the 2017 Prius, Rav4 Hybrid, Avalon Hybrid, Camry Hybrid, and Mirai FCV at the front of the Spectators' Village—in alignment with the tournament’s sustainability initiative. This eco-friendly atmosphere continued inside the Toyota Hawaii hospitality booth, where spectators could charge their phones and enjoy the shade while relaxing on furniture made completely from 100% recyclable materials. The event was a perfect fit for Toyota, which recently announced its goal to reduce vehicle CO₂ emissions by 90 percent in comparison with 2010 levels, by 2050.

Servco Pacific Insurance Gives Back to the Seattle Community with Vision House

Servco Pacific Insurance (SPI) Seattle teamed up with Vision House for its annual Giving Tree Project, to deliver $1,280 in donations from 49 employees, to the Seattle-based nonprofit agency that provides housing, support services and child care for homeless families with children. Since its founding in 1990, Vision House has assisted more than1,000 people in achieving financial stability, increasing employability, and mastering life skills.

Servco Donates 500 Gifts to the PACT Giving Tree

Since 2008, Servco has partnered with Parents and Children Together (PACT) for their annual Giving Tree program, to make a difference for Hawaii’s children during the holidays. Gifts were hand-picked and wrapped by Servco employees, based on the wish list of a child, from infants to 17-years old. This year Servco gave its largest donation, with over 500 presents collected and given to PACT—a family service agency that has been helping to provide children with peaceful and safe environments in which to grow since 1968.

Servco Celebrates 2016 Toyota Technical Education Scholarship Winners

Toyota Hawaii today announced the winners of its annual Toyota Technical Education Scholarship. A partnership with Honolulu Community College’s Automotive Technology Program, students Isaiah Foo-Mitsunaga, Jeffrey Bryan Reyes, David Alvarado Jr., and Dansen Carvalho Jr. were this year’s winners, and will receive a monetary award to help with their college tuition, as well as an opportunity to become an employee at Servco. To qualify for the scholarship, applicants needed a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and be at least a second semester student in HCC’s Automotive Technology Associate of Science Degree Program. The scholarship program has been providing opportunities for HCC’s students for the past 25 years.


Toyota Hawaii Encourages Youth of Palama Settlement to Dream Big

Toyota Hawaii donated 100 UH Athletics tickets and art supplies to keiki in Palama Settlement’s Pakolea Youth Sports Program. Through Pakolea, children are encouraged to participate in recreational sports to improve academic progress and behavioral change in school and at home. The athletics tickets can be used for free admission to 2016-2017 UH sporting events, and the art supplies were given to inspire Palama Settlement’s youth to imagine and enter their “dream car” drawings for the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest.

As the holiday season approaches, Toyota Hawaii and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii honored members of the Hawaii Police Department at its annual Law Enforcement Awards. The awards ceremonies held on Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island, acknowledged the efforts and dedication of police officers to stop impaired driving, and supported the victims of this violent crime. Officers were selected by each county’s Chief of Police, who in their opinion, have made an impact in reducing alcohol or drug-related fatalities.

Subaru Hawaii Shares the Love at Santa Paws with the Hawaiian Humane Society

Subaru Hawaii’s Pet Adoption Day took on a Holiday twist at the Hawaiian Humane Society’s Santa Paws event. Pets and their owners lined up to take festive pics with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as part of Subaru Hawaii’s Share the Love campaign. All adoption fees were waived and gift baskets were presented to each family who adopted an animal. 24 dogs, 10 cats and 2 bunnies were adopted on Oahu, with an additional 33 adoptions at the event on Maui.

Team Serve, Subaru Hawaii, and the Servco Foundation joined the Hawaiian Humane Society for their 26th Annual PetWalk held at Magic Island on Oahu. Thousands of pets and people came together for one common goal—to raise money to benefit our furry friends. Even Subaru Hawaii Ambassador Carissa Moore was there to support the cause with her own dog Tuffy! The Hawaiian Humane Society is one of Subaru Hawaii’s nonprofit partners for this year’s Share the Love sales event.

The Hawaiian Food Bank teamed up with the American Institute of Architects Honolulu and Subaru Hawaii for the 11th Annual Canstruction® competition, that raised 22,725 pounds of food for local families in need. This year’s theme, “Galacti-CAN-Goods!” was showcased in full force, as towering astronauts, aliens, and even Star Wars spaceships, were assembled at Pearlridge Center. Subaru Hawaii Sponsored the Kids Can Corner, where hundreds of keiki created their own Canstruction® Rocket.

Carissa Moore, a three-time women’s surfing World Champion, has entered into a partnership with Subaru Hawaii, the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in the state. Current world champion Moore will be featured in the company’s marketing efforts across the state. Moore is a great fit with the Subaru brand whose owners are active and passionate about causes ranging from the local environment to animals. Subaru Hawaii is the only Hawaii-based company to sponsor Moore.

Governor David Ige has only driven twice since he became the Governor of Hawaii and both times he drove the Toyota Mirai Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) – Toyota’s first zero emission production vehicle that boasts a 312-mile range and a 5-minute refueling time. Hawaii is the second state after California to receive the Mirai, Toyota’s first hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle (FCV).

The Fukunaga Scholarship Foundation announced 12 recipients of its prestigious Fukunaga Scholarship. Every year, over $150,000 in undergraduate scholarships is awarded to encourage students in the State of Hawaii to pursue a degree in business. Servco employees donate hundreds of backpacks, school supplies to Hawaii first-graders

Over the past two months, Servco Pacific employees have been collecting hundreds of new backpacks and filling them with crayons, markers, binders, pencil boxes, glue, composition books and more. The backpacks are being delivered to five Oahu elementary schools: Kuhio, Wahiawa, Kaimiloa, Fern and Keolu. This year marks the seventh anniversary of the Servco-employee school-supply drive. Different schools receive backpacks each year.

Servco was acknowledged for four out of the nine 2014 Spirit of Community Awards at the annual Aloha United Way (AUW) luncheon in April. The awards Servco won were the Eco-Friendly Award, Community Champion Award, Leaders in Giving Award, and the Most Significant Increase in Participation by a Large Company. In 2014, Servco employees Rod Saunders, Jason Alfiler, Ralph Sing Chow and Cynthia Torres co-chaired Team Servco’s internal campaign which encouraged employees to donate to AUW.

People’s Choice Voting Now Open for Toyota Hawaii’s 2015 Dream Car Art Contest

Toyota Hawaii announced that the People’s Choice voting will begin on February 23 via Facebook for Toyota Hawaii’s 2015 Dream Car Art Contest. Student artists 15 years old and under created original, hand-drawn illustrations of their “Dream Car.” Fans of the Toyota Hawaii Facebook page will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entries until March 15, 2015. The artwork with the most votes in each age category at the end of the competition will be entered for final judging in the local competition.

Subaru Hawaii Presents $35,000 to Six Hawaii-Based Non Profits

Across the state, the Subaru Hawaii Dealers “Share the Love” sales event donated $35,000 total to six nonprofits:  Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii, Hawaiian Humane Society, Maui Humane Society, Kauai Humane Society, Hawaii Wildlife Fund and Hawaii Island Humane Society. The campaign donated $250 for every new vehicle sold by Subaru Hawaii dealers from November 1 to December 31, 2014, up to $30,000. In addition, the public voted for their favorite participating nonprofit organization on Subaru Hawaii’s Facebook page crowning Maui Humane Society as the winner earning them an additional $5,000.

75 Employees Serve Holiday Meals at the Family Programs Holiday Party

On December 7, 2014, over 75 employees, family and friends gathered at the Neal Blaisdell Center in Honolulu for the Family Programs Holiday Party for foster families. Servco had the task of assisting to plate over 2,400 meals for foster families across the state. A fun time was had by all!

On September 3, the Honolulu Mayor’s Office of Mayor Kurt Caldwell presented a Letter of Commendation to 13 year old Teah Laupapa, a student from Kapolei Middle School, for her achievement in Toyota’s Dream Car Art Contest. Servco Chevrolet Donates Funds, Equipment to the Hawaii Rush Soccer Club

Servco Chevrolet sponsored the Hawaii Rush Soccer Club, a 700-member youth soccer organization based in Central Oahu, by donating $2,000 worth of fundraising raffle tickets for prizes such as a 2014 Chevy Traverse or a home entertainment package. The club kept all ticket proceeds as part of the fundraiser.

Subaru Dealers of Hawaii welcomed Maui and Big Island residents to “Share the Love Day” that featured a pet adoption and supply drive for SPCA Maui, Hawaii Island Humane Society as well as a clothing and household supply drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii. The local communities turned out for the event, which took place on Saturday, December 7 at Island Subaru on Maui; and Kona Subaru and Hilo Subaru on the Big Island.

Events were held on November 18, 19 and 20, 2013 on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island in partnership with the local Toyota dealers.

It was “International Coastal Clean Up Day” and over 40 Team Servco volunteers showed up at Oahu’s Keehi Lagoon and picked up a total of 52 bags of trash weighing an estimated 800 pounds including cigarette butts (779), food wrappers (658) and plastic bottle caps (377).

The Subaru Dealers of Hawaii welcomed Oahu, Maui and Big Island residents to a statewide pet adoption and supply drive benefitting local animal shelters including the Oahu SPCA, SPCA Maui, Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation, 9th Life, Feline Foundation, No Kill Maui, and Hawaii Island Humane Society on Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Many showed their support by adopting dogs and cats and donating much-needed pet supplies such as pet food, treats, blankets and towels.

This year marks the 45th year of the games with over 1,000 athletes and coaches participating in events such as track and field, softball and swimming. This year, UH Football Coach Norm Chow assisted in handing out the Awards to the athletes.

Servco Auto Windward has donated factory specialty tools and automotive parts, valued at more than $204,000 to support the hands-on learning experience offered to students enrolled in Leeward Community College's automotive program. This new donation complements the college's inventory of 15 new General Motors cars and trucks that were donated earlier.

Servco Employees Participate in International Coastal Clean Up

Over 60 volunteers participated in the 26th Annual International Coastal Clean Up, known in Hawaii as "Get the Drift and Bag It." Over 411 pounds of trash was picked up in a two hour period which consisted of 2,959 cigarette butts and 971 bottle caps and/or lids.
